One of the features of the Amur Region is its unique geographical location, which allows it to develop partnerships with China. More than 200 Russian-Chinese events of various kinds are held in the region throughout the year.

The Amurexpo Economic Forum is our main joint business event, which annually gathers representatives of official, business and expert circles from Russia, China and other friendly countries.

For the third year in a row, Amurexpo is held jointly with the «Roscongress» Foundation and is a visiting venue for the Eastern Economic Forum. It is important that part of the forum's events are simultaneously taking place in two countries - Russia (Blagoveshchensk) and China (Heihe).

At a meeting on the development of Far Eastern cities, Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin noted that Blagoveshchensk has a good potential for increasing inbound tourism, as well as prospects for becoming one of the major centers of international business cooperation. To implement these plans, on behalf of the head of state, we are creating a federal Center for Russian-Chinese Cooperation in the region.

As part of the Center, we are creating an infrastructure for holding international events and receiving tourists, developing our event calendar and a new international transport corridor, which includes the Blagoveshchensk–Heihe automobile bridge, a modern customs and logistics terminal, an updated international airport and river port, as well as the world's first cross-border cable car.
